We encourage you to offer as much detail as you can, as some family stories will be followed up on, for research purposes by educational and preservation / research organizations. As FHNAScollaborates with a network of municipal, regional, private, provincial, and federal historical, anthropology, cultural, resources, organizations, archives, and museums. Our purpose to promote Northern Alberta History through a self-guided, interactive, tour guide travel companion application for Android and IOS (Apple) devices. Contributing your family historical story helps preserve your community’s heritage.
No matter where you live, you know that your own community has ‘gems’ of knowledge that, unfortunately and typically, only ‘locals’ know about it. It’s the type of historical knowledge passed along at coffee shops, church luncheons, and community gatherings. Someone mentions it, some one adds what they know to it, and within the span of minutes community specific local heritage lives on. Help FHNAS share those historical ‘gems’ of your community – let the world know how rich and colorful Northern Alberta Heritage is.
