Canadian Tire’s 2017 Angler’s Cup
Part of the Western Canadian Walleye Trail
Each year, Slave Lake hosts the Canadian Tire Anglers Cup on Father’s Day weekend. This catch and release walleye tournament accommodates 120 fishing teams in a 2 day, total weight tournament. The tournament in one leg of the Western Canadian Walleye Trail.
The tournament is one of the richest cash events in Canada with a total of $125,000 in prize money available. (*Based on a full field of 120 boats.) Proceeds from the event benefit the Lesser Slave Lake Regional Fire Service. The big change this year is that the tournament will be accepting fewer teams. Teams last year have been sent an email with registration form attached.
